 Tim & Jacki joke and say their old kitchen was on "life support". The original kitchen sported white laminate cabinets, with black & white formica countertops with worn appliances. When they decided it was time to renovate their kitchen they focused on their goals. Tim & Jacki wanted a kitchen that would be both functional for their family and beautiful, something with a classic design that wouldn't go out of style. They really wanted a space that would be warm and open and suitable for entertaining. The original kitchen was very closed in and isolated from the dining and family rooms. For holidays, entertaining or even when the kids were hanging around the house, Jacki felt "left out" as she worked in the kitchen. Jacki & Tim really wanted to find a way to open up the kitchen and make it a central part of the rest of their home.
 With the help of the team at Saint Joseph Cabinetry, Tim & Jacki were able to have input in the design process as the design team listened to their needs and goals and tried to work with them to develop a layout that would give them everything they were looking for. Walls came down, areas were re-defined and one by one the Saint Joseph design team was able to bring their dreams to life. As a result Tim & Jacki are so happy, "we love our kitchen, it turned out better than we could have imagined and when friends come over their jaws drop! The change is incredible" says Jacki.  Tim & Jacki both agree saying "our kitchen is now the gathering place, now our kids and their friends come over and instead of hanging out in bedrooms or the basement they spend a lot of time hanging out right in the kitchen, it's hard to keep them out".
Jacki now gets to enjoy her time in the kitchen surrounded by her kids and family, hearing about the latest things going on at school or just listening as the kids interact and tell their stories. Jacki is so happy with the outcome and says "this is amazing, our new kitchen didn't just change the layout of our home, it changed the dynamics of my family".
