Entertaining is priority for new “Dream House”

At Brian and Tiffany Berkey’s dream house in the White Tail Ridge development near Yorkville walls of windows let light and beautiful views into high-ceilinged rooms designed for friends and fun.

“We like to entertain,” says Tiffany.  “We enjoy having friends over.” For this couple, their kitchen had to be not only functional, Tiffany says, but also a gathering place where people will like to “hang out.”  It had to be warm and inviting. “We wanted color.  All our homes in the past had light colors,” Tiffany says.  “Here we have a lot of windows and light, so we wanted rich colors.”

After 16 years of living in their St. Charles home, Linda and Lou Morse say they were ready to update their kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms.

“Our kitchen cabinets were very good – cherry, but they didn’t have the detail or the elegance we wanted,” Lou says.  “And I wanted to widen the hallway leading to the laundry room.

Linda, who Lou says is a great cook and “the kitchen person,” wanted a kitchen done in neutral tones that she could compliment with colored pottery and dinnerware.  She also wanted double ovens, for all her baking needs, and additional cabinet space.  And they both wanted to update their bathrooms with new amenities, more windows, and a more open floor plan.

St. Joseph Cabinetry & Designs will soon be in our new showroom at 129 Commercial Drive, Yorkville.  We will have approximately 8,000 sq. feet to showcase many beautiful cabinetry designs.  We are looking for a qualified kitchen designer who would like to be a part of this exciting process. 

The ideal candidate should have three years experience designing and selling Kitchen and Bath projects.  Candidate must also possess Great Communication Skills, Sales Experience, Computer Skills, Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and be highly efficient in 20/20 design software.  Candidate must forward personal portfolio to be considered for an interview.  Candidate must also consent to a credit check and a background check.
