 Cabinetry Project of the Month October 2011 "We feel we got a good value for our money, everything looks so rich" Kay & Mark D. - Naperville, IL  In trying to remodel their kitchen, Kay and Mark wanted cabinetry that would fit in with the rest of their homes décor and what they found at Saint Joseph Cabinetry was a perfect fit. Saint Joseph was able to provide a design and cabinetry that provided a nice blend and balance of corbels, columns and flutes that complimented existing antique furniture beautifully.  In the planning stages of this project, beyond the look and style Kay and Mark worked with the designers of Saint Joseph, focusing on functionality, increased work areas, increased storage, adequate seating and room for entertaining along with a look that would be timeless. Kay and Mark were both impressed by the 3D plans that Saint Joseph used during the planning stages to help them make decisions that would influence the functionality of their space.  Kay & Mark chose a rich brandy colored stain for the kitchen cabinetry accented with a black glaze that brings out the character and details of the handsome door style. Adding to the accents of the kitchen and it’s features Kay and Mark included a painted furniture looking piece for the island that includes decorative columns that just make the island pop! A wood decorative hood accented with corbels and a small shelf bring a touch of personality to the design and the seating area around the peninsula add a nice seating area for dinners and entertaining.  The results, says Kay, “is a beautiful and functional kitchen. It looks even better than I thought it could. The kitchen is so easy to work in. I can just zip around it! I have lots of counter space for projects and multiple cooks can be in the kitchen together.” Entertaining is a breeze. Mark’s family has a experience in the catering business, so when it came time to throw a birthday party for their granddaughter, Mark was excited to make use of the new peninsula. He setup a buffet for their guests and Mark and Kay were able to enjoy entertaining in their new space. Kay enjoys showing off her new kitchen to her friends, “my friends are amazed and we feel that we got a good value for our money.
